multilayer films

technical thermoplastic films
blown films

The most common method to make a technical film is to use the blown film technology. Zeffex has electrically conductive polyolefin films in portfolio.

These films are used as tooth facings of ribbed belts or synchronous belts. They adhere very well onto rubber during vulcanisation of the belts and add abrasion resistance, noise reduction and a controlled coefficient of friction to the belt.

cast films

A more special method to make an asymmetric multilayered technical film is to use cast film technology. The top layer adds abrasion resistance, noise reduction, a low coefficient of friction and colour to the end product. The other side of the film is designed in such a way that perfect adhesion to polyamide transmission fabrics can be realised.

These films are used a tooth facings of industrial extruded thermoplastic polyurethane timing belts. We laminate the film onto power transmission fabrics and sell rolls of laminate to our customers.
